Provider Training

CPR/First Aid Training
Global offers free First Aid and CPR training on a regular basis.
Workshops
Global offers workshops throughout the year that help keep providers up-to-date on topics such as child development, child guidance and on offering age-appropriate activities for children.
“Come and Play”
One-on-one training is provided to you by your Home Child Care Advisor during home visits, with the aid of Global-produced specialized activity specialized activity bins which focus on the on How does learning happen: Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years.
Die Cutter Machine
A die cutter is a machine that cuts templates of shapes, letters and numbers out of paper, felt, fun foam and other material. Providers are invited to contact their Home Child Care Advisor and discover how to incorporate these materials into fun and educational programming for children.

Provider Reference Manual
Your Global Provider Reference Manual is a comprehensive reference source containing policies, forms and resources to guide you in delivering safe, high quality child care which meets and exceeds the requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act.
Home Child Care Provider Newsletter
Your quarterly newsletter features regular articles on incorporating the provincial How does learning happen: Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years into your home day care, and offers child-friendly recipes, craft/activity ideas and other information to help you plan your day care day.
Equipment Loaning Program
Global offers an equipment loaning program for providers affiliated with our agency. Infant, toddler and preschool equipment including playpens, highchairs, strollers, gates, tables and chairs may be borrowed to assist you in providing child care and to help ensure the safety of children in your home. Equipment can be requested through your Home Child Care Advisor and is delivered to your door on a pre-arranged date by our delivery worker in the Global delivery van.
