In order to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 in the community, the Board of Directors of Global Child Care Services has approved the temporary closure of Global’s licensed Home Child Care program, effective Friday, March 27. A re-start date will be formally identified once public health recommendations have been updated.
Global staff reached the target for our CHEO Fundraising Campaign #6, raising another $5,000 for the CHEO Foundation, to purchase a Cough Assist Machine for the children of CHEO. Campaign #7 has already launched, with our goal to raise sufficient funds to purchase two Ambulatory Blood Pressure Machines.

The Honourable Jean Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development visited Global’s Rideau Valley Child Care Centre on May 15 to make an announcement about the Canada Child Tax Benefit and to enjoy some outdoor play time with an enthusiastic group of preschoolers and some of Global’s wonderful early childhood educators.
